About the Journal:

People’s Journal of Scientific Research (PJSR) is an open access, peer reviewed, indexed and multidisciplinary referred research journal published twice a year by People’s University, Bhopal. In order to have the compressive view of all the disciplines of sciences, the scope of this journal included scholarly work from research scholars, academicians, clinicians in the field of Health Sciences (Medical, Dental, Nursing & Paramedical), Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics etc), Behavioral and Social Sciences.

The aim of the journal is to promote & disseminate the quality and innovative work by the researchers in the field of Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Life Sciences. Also it aims to establish a culture of research including teaching & learning in the institution. Author guidelines / Details of Editor – In – Chief and Review Policy.

The Journal provides a platform for publishing original communications of researchers, scholastics and students to share new knowledge in the form of high quality research work and published only in English. The journal has wide network of very good academics, researchers and clinicians. Research paper reporting original research, review articles (both narrative & evidence based) view points and perspectives are also considered. PJSR strongly discourage duplication of data already published in other journals. PJSR serves to intellectual audiences who are interested in the latest research informations.

Authors Guidelines::

  1. Title Page should contain: concise and informative title, Name(s) of the author(s) with initials and surname, name of the department,

    Institution & complete address with telephone number and e-mail of the corresponding author.

  2. Abstract should not be more than 250 words & should be on a separate sheet. It should present the most important results stating the background, methods, results & conclusion.

  4. Key words (3 to 5).

  6. Introduction – should state purpose of study & give brief review of pertinent literature. Cite only those references that are essential to justify the purpose of study.

Material & Methods should follow the introduction & should provide enough information to permit repetition of experimental work/ project, giving how the study was designed, carried out and data was analyzed. State whether study was approved by ethical committee or not. Describe statistical analysis methods used with required details. Give actual p-values, define statistical terms, symbols and abbreviations.

  10. Results should describe the outcome of study giving relevant data. Avoid repeating in the text all the data depicted in tables or illustrations: Tables (numbered in roman numerals) & illustrations (Numbered in Arabic Numerals) should be prepared on separate sheet(s) with headings or legends. Minimum size of illustrations should be 8 x 10 cm. Top of figure should be marked by an arrow on it’s back as well as figure’s number and author’s name on left side of photograph. Cite the tables/ figures in the text at appropriate places.

  12. Discussion ordinarily should not be more than 1/3 of total length of manuscript. New and possible important findings of the study should be emphasized, as well as any conclusions that can be drawn. The Discussion should compare the present data to existing literature. The implications of the findings and their limitations, including potential for future research should be discussed. New hypotheses and clinical recommendations that are appropriate should be clearly identified.

  14. References - In general, the number of references shuld not be exceed 40 for original articles, 50 for review articles and 15 for case reports. The authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the references and their citations in the text. 1. References shuld be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. 2. References in text, tables and legends shuld be identified by superscript numerals in square brackets [] at the end of the sentence outsite any punctuation. If several different studies or papers are cited within one sentence, the number should be placed where it will accurately identify the correct study.

  3. When writing a reference in text, the surname of the author should be given; if there are two authors, the surnames of both the authors should be given & if there are more than two authors, then surname of first author followed by “et al” and name(s) should be followed by year in bracket.

  1. All figures should be planned to fit within either 1 column width (8.0 cm), 1.5 column widths (13.0 cm) or 2 column widths (17.0 cm), and must be suitable for photocopy reproduction from the printed version of the manuscript.

  3. The first author will receive a complimentary copy of the journal free.

Although low quality images are adequate for review purposes, print publication requires high quality images to prevent the final product being blurred or fuzzy.

Submit JPEG or TIFF files only. MS PowerPoint and Word Graphics are unsuitable for printed pictures. Do not use pixel-oriented programmes.

Scans (JPEG &TIFF only) should have a resolution of 300 dpi (halftone) or 600 to 1200 dpi (line drawings) in relation to the reproduction size. All the Images/Figures should be submitted in separate files. Do not Zip the file.

Submission details:

Manuscript should be submitted on line with photographs/illustration in JPG / TIFT format only. Manuscript should be accompanied with author's declaration. Minimum size of photograph / illustration should be 8x10 cm. Please also send a copy of photograph / illustration etc in original (Hard copy) by speed-post only.

The size of manuscript (excluding abstracts, tables, references & figures/ photograph) will be limited to 2500 words for full articles and 1200 words for case reports. (Manuscript beyond the above said count will be charged extra Rs. 500 per printed page)

Review Policy:

The manuscripts will be reviewed for possible publication with the understanding that they are being submitted to one journal at a time and have not been published, simultaneously submitted or already accepted for publication elsewhere.

All manuscripts received will be acknowledged. The Editorial board reviews all submitted manuscripts initially. Manuscripts which lack originality, have poor research design or fail to add to the existing literature on the chosen subject will be rejected. The journal will not return the unaccepted manuscripts.

After the approval of the Editorial Board, manuscripts will be sent to two or more expert reviewers and the identity of author/s will not be disclosed to the reviewer/s. Within a period of six to eight weeks, the contributors will be informed about the reviewers' comments and acceptance/modification/rejection of manuscript.

If accepted, the Editor reserves the right to improve on style, grammar & make corrections in the manuscript accordingly. Page proofs will be sent to the first author, which has to be returned within seven days. All statement and opinions expressed in the manuscript(s) are those of the authors, and not those of the editor(s) or publisher. The editor(s) and publishers disclaim any responsibility for such material.

Plagiarism Policy:

All manuscripts must be accompanied by the following statement: In consideration of PJSR accepting the manuscript in review, undersigned author (s) hereby transfer (s), assign, (s), or otherwise convey (s) all copyright ownership to PJSR in the other events that the same work may be published by PJSR.

The author (s) warrants that the article is original, is not under consideration by any other journal, has not been previously published and takes responsibility for the contents. Furthermore, I/we warrant that all investigations reported in the publication were conducted in conformity with the recommendations from the Declaration of Helsinki and the International Guiding Principles for Biomedical Research involving animals.

That the Ethical Committee clearance has been obtained for experiment on animals or trial involving human beings. Financial interests, sources of outside support and conflict of interest that exist for individual contributors in connection with the content of this paper have been disclosed.We give the rights to the corresponding author to make necessary changes as per the request of the journal, do the rest of the correspondence on our behalf and he/she will act as the guarantor for the manuscript on our behalf. Instructions to Authors:

The manuscript will be considered for publication based on their scientific merit, originality, clinical significance, validity of the material presented and readability. The submitted manuscript will be reviewed by two or more referees who will determine, the publishing prospects of the article, on the basis of the MRS (Manuscript Rating Score).
